Greetings from the Bahamas, and welcome to the HGChristie January 2004 Newsletter.

We know that many of you are now in the depths of cold winter. "Hikin' Out" is a digital creation by our art department from a photo captured by Wendy Rowe, Manager of HGChristie's Exuma office, a talented photographer in her own right. This scene of the National Family Island Regatta in Elizabeth Harbour Exuma is dedicated to delivering some sunshine into your day.

Once again, we have tried to pack this issue with current and hopefully valuable information about buying and selling in the Bahamas.

We are predicting good things for the Bahamas market in 2004, and as you will read in "From John's Desk", Eleuthera, one of our beautiful Family Islands, is showing strong signs already.

Also new this month is "From the Past", a journey into the documents and memorabilia from HGChristie's rich past. Being the oldest real estate company in the Bahamas means that we have some quite interesting things from our archives. This time we recall a humorous poem about the dangers of reluctant investment.
